I’ve seen too many barbecue accident pictures not to take BBQ safety seriously. At the end of the day, you’re playing with fire so you need to ensure that you have a sensible head on especially when thinking about the safety of your family and friends. Fortunately Iain is of strong character and has never let this disfigurement affect his life but for others that may not be the case. The other thing to consider is that at a barbeque party there may well be alcohol served and we all know how this can affect one’s judgement. Food Safety OK, so you’ve managed not to injure anyone, but have you managed not to poison anyone? Badly cooked meat, raw on the inside and burnt on the outside is a classic way to cause a health hazard and I hope that by following my recipes carefully this situation will be a thing of the past.
