Bubba Keg Grill Review

My Bubba Keg inside the screened in deck

Hi Paul

I just purchased the new Bubba Keg Grill, a Kamado style grill. Unlike it's competitors, it's not a ceramic cooker, it's made with two layers of steel with foam insulation between them.

From what I've seen and read, it is more efficient at retaining heat than the ceramic cookers like the Big Green Egg. When I'm doing a low and slow cook around 225-250 F the outside still feels cool. When cranked up to 700, I can keep my hand on it for about 10 seconds before it gets uncomfortable.

I've written a number of articles on the Bubba Keg and some of my cooking experiences. I've even written about using the trailer hitch adapter to cart it off to a picnic where I cooked some beer can chicken. To read more click here
