Chipotle Sauce Recipe

Do you have a chipotle sauce recipe?

I love the chipotle sauce like they serve on chicken at restaurants like Chilli's and O'Charley's. It's mostly sweet with a little fire at the end.

Answer:

Chipotles are basically smoked red jalapeno peppers that are then cooked up into a paste or simply dried. They can then be used in sauces and as a great base for many other recipes.

Generally when you buy a can of chipotles it'll be in adobo sauce which is just a mixture of spices, tomatoes and vinegar.

The basic recipe for chipotle sauce is:-

  • 120ml or ½ cup plain yogurt
  • 120ml or ½ cup mayonnaise
  • 2 teaspoons pureed chipotle peppers in adobo sauce

For the sweet chili sauce that I think you're looking however, you need to check out my Chipotle Barbecue Sauce Recipe and you can find it by clicking here.
