How long will your BBQ sauce recipes keep?

Hi, I want to know how long will your BBQ sauce recipes keep? Do you have to use right away or will they keep in the fridge for days or week?

Most of the recipes have no meat content and also have traditional natural preservatives in there that will help the sauce keep well.

Having said that, please do use common sense. For example, if you read the label on many factory products it will say something about "refrigerate after opening and use within 7 days".

Of course the use by recommendation will be shortened to ensure that the sauce manufacturer is legally protected but essentially the same principle applies to my sauce.

My homemade barbecue sauces will certainly keep for a week (just like most food) and I would feel comfortable using my sauce a couple of weeks down the line provided it has been refrigerated. But that's me - ultimately the decision whether to use it has to be yours.
