How to Grill Pork Ribs

Learning how to grill pork ribs is a challenge because the pork has to be cooked through but it's so easy to end up with dry ribs.

I've done a few recipes for grilled pork ribs and they're listed below. All of them follow these basic rules.

Keep Them Moist

Use a marinade and a barbecue sauce.

Always prepare your ribs as a side, never as individuals. It might be tempting because then you can cook the ribs on “all four sides” but you'll only end up with something chewy, tough and dry.

Don't be too energetic at trimming the fat off the ribs before the cooking, do it afterwards when the fat has had chance add it's flavor.

Ensure That They Are Cooked

I don't like writing this but I was shown another way how to grill ribs and this was by parboiling them first. Frankly I like to do all my cooking on the grill wherever possible but on this occasion I have to say that this method does actually work quite well because not only does it ensure that the ribs are thoroughly cooked but it also helps with the succulency too. Add a homemade barbecue sauce and you're ready to go.

How to Grill Pork Ribs Perfectly

It's easy to say, but I prefer the long and slow method over indirect heat every time but if you want to give grilled ribs a go then try these recipes:-
