Mine is 18 years old
by: Anonymous

I've had my 3-burner Jenn-Air for almost 18 years. I've just replaced the burners for a second time. It cost me about $40 for replacements. Please note, the grill sits outdoors, in Florida heat. The rotisserie still works great. All replacement parts are readily available, as I saw when looking for burners. I am still amazed by my grill.

My New 18 yo Jenn-Air
by: Sandbergc9

I just smoked a batch of chicken tenders on my 18 year old jenn-air. I bought a Jenn-Air gas grill 730-0163 built in 2002 last Wednesday! I paid $100 for the old grill. I purchased a new thermostat, burners and grill grate from Amazon for $140. This a great piece of cooking equipment.

The true test of equipment is how it works 20 years after construction. This is the highest quality burner I've cooked on!

Regards

Best ever
by: Steven Storm

I’ve had my Jenn Air for 18 years and is the best grill ever.
Replaced burners last year. Still cooking awesome.
Surf and Turf with Side burner of garlic butter.
Kill it and grill it.
Fish it and dish it.
Hunting and fishing is my life.

Storm Out.

Jenn Air
by: Diane Heiser

I had a charbroil that was better than this expensive piece of junk. Very difficult to heat up and today we had to call the fire department because it caught on fire and almost burned down the house. I would not recommend this grill to anyone. I also had a Jenn Air built in stove and microwave that I had to have both repaired 5 times. Replaced the built in stove and microwave with a Bosch and love it! What a waste of money Jenn Air is!

11 years and going strong
by: Paul C

I bought a Jenn Air 720-0061 grill more than 10 years ago at a Home Depot (Despite Lowe's licensing). It's been great. After about five years, the cast brass burners clog up, but clean up easily with a small-bore drill. The cross channels (for lighting adjacent burners) also need cleaning with a hacksaw blade. After that hour or so of work, and about $20 to replace the rusted-out sheet-metal flame tamers, the grill works like new. I'm sorry to see that the brass burners are being replaced with cast iron.

Jenn Air 720-0163
by: Harvey

My HA 720-0163 has been going strong for 12 years now. There were many performance problems early on. The efforts of many users through the BBQ Forum contributed greatly to Nextgrill improving components over time. Early Nextgrill problems with supplying replacement parts seems to be corrected. Parts are now readily available and reasonably priced ( only pay shipping for most parts).
I’m looking forward to another 10 years of great service!

Jenn Air 720-0165
by: Anonymous

I've owned the Jenn Air 720-0165 for over 11 years now and have never had a problem with it, I can get it up to 500 degrees no problem. After 11 years of use the burners are finally starting to warp and need replaced but for $100 it's a cheap fix.

Want Quality? Look at Weber
by: Chesteracorgi

I bought the Weber Q320 3 years ago. It had a defect at construction, which Weber quickly addressed and sent new parts. This Cast Aluminum walnut shell grill has been great to clean and service. No rust on the burners (stainless steel) or case. The only issue with any rusting is with the cast iron grills themselves, and I may have to replace them sometime in the next 15 years.

Besides the part bent in shipping my only quality issues with the Weber Q320 are with the wheels (the wheel locks could be improved) and the night light, which could be better designed. The piezo, the burners, and real grill parts are wonderful.

If you keep your Weber Q clean there is no issue with flare ups. Cleaning is a light chore, except for the semi-annual full cleaning, which takes a burn off of the grease and a washing & steel brushing of the burner tubes.

Jenn Aire is not made by Jenn Aire, but by an inferior OEM that licensed the name.
