Jenn Air Grill

Jenn Air 720-0720
I live in the Northwest and our local Costco has been selling this Jenn Air Grill for $699 and it is made by Nexgrill. I would like to know what you think as we are considering buying one for Christmas! Model 720-0727. Paul's Comment:-Craig, thanks for your question. I haven't had any experience of cooking on this grill or the opportunity to understand its longevity so it's difficult for me to review. Having said that and knowing what others have written on my site about the Jenn Air grill range, if I were buying one I'd probably take the following course of action and here's my thinking:- The Jenn Air debate rolls on and on with many folks writing in and claiming dissatisfaction with their Jenn Air grill especially when they are 3 or 4 years old. Comments here:- Wayne's Jenn Air Stainless Steel Grill Was Satisfactorily Repaired Praise for Jenn Air Grills from Craig J - "The Old Griller" So how do you judge? The negative comments that have been written on my site appear to come from issues around the burners clogging up, non stainless steel parts in what looks like a stainless steel grill and the weather that then attacks anything non stainless steel. No one has said anything bad about the 720-0720. If I were looking at a Jenn Air grill I would double check that everything is stainless steel and not just coated. If not stainless steel, I wouldn't buy it. I'd then also look at buying a grill cover to protect it from the elements. If you've done this and still want to go ahead: Find out from Costco about the warranty, on which parts does it apply and how to make a claim. Will Costco support or will they just tell you to telephone the manufacturer? Some folks have written on my site about complaints with service from the manufacturer. If you have a problem, you phone Nexgrill and not Jenn Air. Why not call the customer service helpline and find out how well they answer your questions? That way you'll get a feel for what help you are going to get should there be a problem down the line.
