Jenn-Air Stainless Steel Grill

by Wayne Campbell
(Florida)

After reading a few of the reviews on this grill I felt that I should add my two cents worth because that is about all it is worth.

I bought a Jenn-Air Stainless Steel Grill 720-0163 from Lowe's in 2007 and use it 1 to 2 times per week. The heating became very uneven and flames were shooting up in the back of the grill. With further inspection of the burners they were burnt out and split.

I got on this forum and read what people were saying about the grill and the service they had received and it did not sound very good to say the least. Well, I was just as mad as the people that had been posting all the negative reviews thinking that this was a very expensive grill and should of lasted longer than 2 years.

Before giving up, I figured what the heck look at the owners manual and check the warranty to see what it was. What luck, the cast brass burners and flame tamers had a lifetime replacement.

All I had to do was call the number for assistance give them the model and serial numbers of the grill and they would ship the replacement parts and only had to pay shipping charges. Parts were in stock and should arrive with in the week. The service people were great to deal with. All I can say it it is a grill that the company stands behind for this family. HAPPY GRILLING

jenn air gas grill
by: jack ( new hampshire)

I've had my Jenn Air grill model 720-0165 for just over 3 yrs, purchased it at Lowes and it looked great. I just went into Lowes to complain about grill parts burning out and guess what , they no longer carry the Jenn Air grills.

Their response was to deal with the manufacturer Nexgrill. My burners are completely burnt out and the cross over brackets in rear also are disintegrating. The whole smoker tray & cover are burning out also the flavor plates are not in great shape either.

I called Nexgrill & spoke with a supervisor who stated the warranty would cover only parts that affect cooking ie burners, flavor plates and ignition system. The inside bowl which holds burners in place (in rear) the holes have started to burn out but their answer is the grill is still functional.

All this for a $1000 plus grill. They never mention that Jenn Air does not have anything to do with this grill (talk about false advertising) I called them also --no dice.

Not only will I not ever purchase a Jenn Air product but will not buy from Lowes again. This product is really a piece of junk and Nexgrill's attitude is if you can still cook your good to go, they will replace cooking parts but if grill bowl burns out and grill is useless too bad. going back to weber!!!
