Kamado Joe Grill And Smoker

Kamado Joe Grill And Smoker

I was looking for the ceramic kamado smoker. I checked out the BGE, primo and a friend turned me on the the Kamado Joe ceramic smoker and grill.

After comparing them all, I found on the Kamado Joe the Ceramic material to be thicker, bamboo side shelves to be better and steel hinges and parts to be heaver than the competition. After getting the Kamado Joe, I have used it every week.

So far I have seared ribeye steaks at 750-800 degrees, made a cedar plank salmon, jerk beer can chicken, smoked wild boar sausage, venison back straps, many racks of ribs that fall off the bone, a beef brisket and many pork butts.

I got great tips-advise and recipes from the Kamado Joe website. (Paul asks "What's wrong with barbecue-smoker-recipes.com?)

I am completely new to this kamado culture and am already hooked on smoking everything that falls into my path. If a natural disaster hits, I'm going to get my wife, daughter, Kamado Joe and maybe go back for the dogs and cat.
