Reheating Pulled Pork

We are wondering if preparing pulled pork the night before eating it and reheating it would have any effects on the meat such as taste, dryness etc.

We would warm the meat up in a crock pot the next day. We would smoke the meat in a Bradley smoker then cook it slowly on a gas grill.

Answer:-

Reheating pulled pork is a great way to manage preparing a large quantity and it's works for leftovers too.

You're already on the right lines by using a crock pot or you can use the microwave and in both cases the trick is to keep the pork from drying out. You do this by adding a little of the bbq sauce to the mix and then set off your crock pot or give it a blast in the microwave.

I've also heard of folks adding a little cider to the mix, throwing it in a roasting pan and then slowly bringing it back up to temperature in an oven or indeed your smoker.

Certainly you don't need to worry about the flavor - whatever method you use, it'll all still be there.
