Vinegar Barbeque Sauce Recipe

I’ve chosen to make an oriental style to this vinegar barbeque sauce recipe but it really is up to you how you want to make the final flavorings work.

Of course it’s vinegar based but then I’ve added soy sauce and chili flakes. The soy sauce adds a beautiful rich color and is a great natural way to add salt to a sauce. The chili flakes are really up to you, many oriental sauces have that piquant flavor so add as much as you want (within reason of course!)

Ingredients:-

• 1 cup white wine vinegar
• 4 tablespoons white sugar
• ¼ cup of water
• 2 teaspoons soy sauce
• 1 teaspoon dried chili flakes

Method:-

Throw all the ingredients into a saucepan, warm over a gentle heat and stir until all the sugar has melted. Note how sweet this one is but if you’ve put plenty of chili flakes in the use it sparingly!
