I saw a demo at Costco and ended up purchasing a Traeger smoker. I have a fair try several times and ended up bringing it back. Flame randomly died out with full hopper and digital temperature control is not accurate or even close.

Hi Ed,
I don't know whether you are using Traeger branded wood pellets or something else but it has been pointed out to me that the length of the wood pellet in particular is important.
If the wood pellet is too long then this can cause a blockage in either the hopper of the auger.
The manufacturer brand pellet will be designed short enough to ensure that these blockages don't happen so (depending on the brand that you are using) it could be worth returning to the Traeger brand to compare the length of the pellet.
That said, the other thing that can affect length of the pellet is if there is some damp in your pellet. Any water will cause the pellet to expand a little and this could also be a factor in the problem that you've shared.
