Can the weber Q 220 use a 20 lb gas canister?

by Barry Klein
(New York)

I trying to decide on a small grill for my porch. I like the look, size, and cost of the Q 220.

I am single, and like to grill.

Answer:-

Sure Barry, you can power a Q 220 series from a 20lb propane tank. The small gas canisters that fire the basic grill are propane so there's no problem with switching to a larger tank.

All you need is this adapter hose (pictured above) so that you can connect the tank safely to the inlet where you would normally secure the small gas canister

I would certainly recommend that if buying the Q220 that you go for the optional cart. Not only does this make stowage of your gas tank more convenient, it also puts the grill at a nice height for cooking.
